ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT

aftercare

1-3 DAYS

After the tattoo is completed, we will apply the film to your tattoo and advise you leave it on for 1-3 days, 1 day if you have sensitive skin. You may notice liquid forming inside the film, this is excess ink/plasma and is 100% normal. Don’t try to drain this and keep the film on. If you notice leaking or water can get in, regardless of how long you have had it on, REMOVE IT right away, as keeping it on can lead to an infection.

01

1-2 WEEKS

After removing your bandage, ideally in the shower, gently wash your tattoo with warm water and soap. Make sure to remove whatever excess fluid was on it, until it looks like what it looked like fresh essentially. Pat dry with a clean paper towel and apply a light layer of your preferred aftercare moisturizer (A+D, Aquaphor, Hustle Butter, unscented hand lotion, etc.). For the next 1-2 weeks, apply thin layers of aftercare moisturizer 2-3 times per day. When it comes to moisturizing, LESS is more.

02

YOUR TATTOO IS HEALED

Try to wear loose clothing around wherever the tattoo is for the first few days. You may notice peeling and flaking throughout the healing process, but don’t panic, this is 100% normal. Don’t exercise while you have the film on the tattoo, as this will cause sweat to build up under the film. Also, avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, public pools and the ocean, basically anything soaks the tattoo, while it’s healing. Don’t scratch while it’s healing, as this can cause an infection. Try to avoid people or pets touching your tattoo as best you can. When it’s smooth to the touch, your tattoo is healed.

🤓 Listen to your tattoo artists not your friends 🥸

REMEMBER

Keep the film on for 1-3 days.

WASH AND MOISTURIZE

For about a week until you’ve stopped peeling and it’s smooth to the touch.

DO NOT

Pick or scratch the tattoo while it’s healing.

TOUCH UPS

If you notice any line inconsistencies or have any ink fallout, a touch up is on me. All you have to do is send me a picture about 4-6 weeks after you got your tattoo and we’ll set something up. Please try to get the clearest picture possible so I can see if the tattoo is healed enough to do the touch up, and see how much time I would need to block out for the touch up.
